Glint is a browser app where friends build rooms tile by tile and decorate them with stickers while they hang out, talk and share things. This update adds a free Halloween sticker series for October, 16 new pets spread across every series, a pass over the whole sticker album so every piece sits neatly on the room grid, and fixes that make rooms more reliable.

A Glint room decorated for Halloween with a gothic bed, a potion shelf, a bubbling cauldron, jack-o'-lanterns and a little ghost

What’s in the Halloween series?

The Halloween series is spooky but cozy, never scary. It has a plum velvet sofa and a gothic bed, a crystal ball table, a potion shelf full of glowing bottles, a coffin cabinet with candles inside, a bubbling cauldron, a stack of carved jack-o’-lanterns, a bat garland, a spider web with a tiny smiling spider, an arched moon window and a door with a wreath of black roses.

It also has a few characters: a black cat in a witch hat, a little ghost holding a lantern, a pug in a pumpkin costume and a duck in a witch hat.

The whole series is free for everyone this October. Open the sticker album, pick Halloween and start decorating. If you’d like ideas for a night in with friends, we put together 15 virtual Halloween party ideas.

Which new pets were added?

Sixteen new Glint pet stickers: dogs, ducks and geese in every series

Rooms had a lot of cats, so every series now has a dog or a duck too, drawn slightly chibi like the cats:

  • Cozy Basics: a little white duck with a bow, and a goose that stole your sock
  • Japanese: a mandarin duck on a river stone
  • Retro 70s: a dachshund in a mustard sweater
  • Cottage: a border collie on a rag rug, two farm ducks and a goose with a gingham bow
  • Kawaii: a pomeranian with a pink bow and a duckling in a strawberry hat
  • Modern: a greyhound asleep in its bed
  • Antique: a King Charles spaniel on a velvet cushion
  • Rattan: a terrier peeking out of a basket
  • Autumn Cabin: a golden retriever in the leaves and two mallards
  • Halloween: the pumpkin pug and the witch duck

What else changed?

Some stickers didn’t quite follow the floor tiles: a few were drawn at a slightly different angle, so a sideboard or a window bar looked tilted next to everything else. We went through every series and fixed 39 of them, so they line up with the room grid now. A few pieces got proper redraws, like the cat café espresso machine and both sleeping cats, who now look like actual cats.

Four floors and wallpapers also repeat cleanly now. The black and white marble checker no longer puts two black squares next to each other, and the mint hex tiles, heart tiles and retro flower wallpaper repeat without a visible seam.

Stickers you’ve already placed update by themselves. You don’t need to do anything.

Do rooms work more smoothly now?

Yes. Alongside the new stickers, this update fixes the hiccups some of you ran into while hanging out:

  • If your connection drops for a moment, you rejoin the room by yourself.
  • Chat messages you missed while you were away show up once you’re back.
  • A bad connection no longer freezes the chat.
  • Your room keeps saving after a network hiccup, so your changes don’t quietly stop sticking.

If something still feels off in a room, tell us at hello@glint.so.

Open Glint and find the ghost.
